Recipe : Cream of Palak Paneer


During the winter time, I always look for different ways to add green in our diet. So bringing to you, the restaurant style Cream of Palak Paneer in your own kitchen. This ensures the restaurant taste with 100% hygiene. Along with your family, it will keep your wallet happy, as your kids may stop saying “restaurant chalo (to go to restaurant)”. Instead, they will say you “kitchen chalo”. So let’s try Cream of Palak Paneer in your kitchen.

Cream of Palak Paneer


Ingredients:
  • Spinach (palak) – 1 bunch
  • Cottage cheese (paneer) –  250 gm.
  • Cream – 100gm
  • Onion – 1½ medium
  • Ginger – ¼ inch
  • Pure clarified butter (ghee) – 50 gm
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Sugar- ½ tsp.

Method:
  1. Clean & wash the spinach, thoroughly.
  2. Blanch (slightly boil) the leaves and make puree (paste) of it.
  3. Cut cottage cheese into small cubes.
  4. Heat up clarified butter in a wok.
  5. Now, add chopped onion and ginger into the wok. Sauté it.
  6. Add the spinach puree, cottage cheese cubes, salt & sugar. Mix it well.
  7. After a while, add water & allow to boil, so that it attains desired consistency.
  8. When, the gravy becomes consistent, add cream to it & mix it well.
While serving, decorate it with fresh cream.
Serve it with hot chapatti, naan, lachcha paratha, jeera rice, rice, etc.
