Poem: New Normal

This poem has been created by my daughter, Advika. The poem won second position in an interschool competition. Your feedbacks will help her enhance & grow. You can also view the video below, which was sent for the competition, and has her recitation in the background.

New Normal

The things are now washed and sanitized through,

New normal has brought new things to me and you.

The Humanistic approach is now coming true,

Thinking and knowing self is somewhat new.

Studying online and WFH has shown,

Limits of our self control are now known.

The screen time has rapidly grown,

And parties today are now inside a phone.

Bonds are stronger than usual.

Calendars are flipped when days have passed dual!

The nature is also getting re-fuel,

Our attitude towards it was way so cruel!

Going out with sanitizers and masks on.

In entertainment, binging stations have won.

Sleeping till noon & awake until dawn,

Giving exams with a big sleepy yawn.

Conditioning to laziness has been so well,

The outfit of ours can clearly tell.

Self care required is the loudest ringing bell,

For an appetitive stimulus your body may swell.

New normal has brought a life really new,

Later relishing it will be me & you.
