Nutritious Tiffin Recipe : Fruit Sandwich

Fruit Sandwich

This innovative recipe of mine is very nutritious and mouth watering. It attracts children too.

                                                    serves 6

Ingredients:

  • Bread                                    12 slices small sized
  • Amul Fresh Cream                200ml
  • Icing sugar                             according to taste
  • Mango                                   1 medium sized
  • Pomegranate                         1 small sized
  • Grapes                                   10-12 no.
  • Orange                                   1 medium sized

Method:

  1. Mix icing sugar in Amul fresh cream & whip for a consistency. If, you are health conscious, then sugar can be dropped.
  2. Peel mango & orange. For best result, also peel grapes & each segment (फांक) of orange. Dice the pulp into small size as shown in the Fig-2.
  3. Remove corners of the bread slices.
  4. Apply little thick layers of the cream on each slice.
  5. Now, put all the fruits on every slice & cover them with another slice of bread, making sandwich.
  6. Refrigerate it for 5-10 minutes, to let it set.
  7. Now, cut them into triangles.
  8. Then, wrap in cellophane food grade sheet and pack it in the tiffin.

Note: For best results:

  • Use fresh & soft bread.
  • Use Amul fresh cream as it is consistent.
  • Peel the fruits as mentioned above before cutting them.
  • All the fruits should be sweet in taste. If they are a little bit soury, add sugar to sweeten them.
