Evening snack : Crispy Fried Idli Wedges

Crispy Fried Idli Wedges 

You would have been bored with having Idli in its traditional form & kids love to have French Fries, but the problem is with its nutrition value. So, let’s try something new combining the two- Idli & French Fries.

Presenting- Crispy Fried Idli Wedges

 Ingredients:

Idli                       7-8
Olive oil               for frying
Salt                       as per taste
Gun-powder        1tbsp(or according to taste)

Method:

  • Cut the idlies in wedges (vertically), like French fries.
  • Pour olive oil in a wok(kadhai).
  • Now, deep fry the idli wedges, till it become crispy.
  • Take out all the Wedges using strainer by draining out all the excess oil from it.
  • While it is warm, roll and cover it with salt and gun-powder (a specific South Indian Masala). Now, its ready to serve.



 Crispy Fried Idli Wedges can be served with
  1. coconut chutney
  2. sambhar
  3. onion chutney
  4. channa dal chutney
