Recipe: Pinni

As I had promised earlier in the previous tip, today I would be sharing a famous recipe with you that contain khoya in its ingredients, alike Mawa Gujiya. It is a very nutritious recipe. This recipe loved by all ages is none other than the childhood reminiscing Pinni.

Pinni

Ingredients:
·       Wheat flour (Aata) 250gm
·       Mawa (Khoya) 150gm
·       Sugar 250gm or as per your taste
·       Clarified butter (Ghee) 2tbsp
·       Roasted dry fruits
·       Green cardamom (chotti elaichi) powder 1tsp

Method:
1.    Grind sugar and cardamom into fine powder.
2.    In a wok, take ½ tbsp of ghee and flour on sim flame and stir it periodically.
3.    When it turns golden-brown and starts to smell roasted (सौंधी), turn off the flame.
4.    Add the remaining ghee, sugar powder,  dry fruits and khoya (prepared earlier, while making ghee in the Tip: Ghee – Now in minutes, dated 30th August, 2019) to aata.
5.    Now make pinnis out of the mixture.
6.    You may garnish the pinnis with finely chopped dry fruits.
7.    Your Pinni is ready.

Note:- Try to make the pinnis when the flour is warm, as this would prevent the flour from shredding down.
