Crispy Fried Idli Wedges
You would have been bored with having Idli in its traditional form
& kids love to have French Fries, but the problem is with its nutrition
value. So, let’s try something new combining the two- Idli & French Fries.
Presenting- Crispy Fried Idli Wedges
Ingredients:
Idli 7-8
Olive oil for frying
Salt as per
taste
Gun-powder 1tbsp(or according to taste)
Method:
- Cut the idlies in wedges (vertically), like French fries.
- Pour olive oil in a wok(kadhai).
- Now, deep fry the idli wedges, till it become crispy.
- Take out all the Wedges using strainer by draining out all the excess oil from it.
- While it is warm, roll and cover it with salt and gun-powder (a specific South Indian Masala). Now, its ready to serve.
Crispy Fried Idli Wedges can be served with
- coconut chutney
- sambhar
- onion chutney
- channa dal chutney
