Benefit
Gorgon Nut(Makhana) is a sweet fox nut, which contains proteins that helps to strengthen kidneys & maintain blood glucose levels thereby controlling cholestrol. Soya is well known for its protein richness.

Method

  1. Take ghee in a wok (kadai) & shallow fry the gorgon nuts at low flame to keep it ready.
  2. Heat the oil in a cooker.
  3. Make a paste of tomato, onion & garlic.
  4. Pour the paste into the cooker. Keep stirring.
  5. Now, add coriander powder, turmeric, salt, red chilly powder & keep stirring.
  6. Afterwards, add soya mini chunks to it & keep stirring.
  7. When the masala is ready, add above ready gorgon nuts & fry it  together.
  8. Now add water for the gravy  & close the lid of the cooker.
  9. Allow 2 whistles at high & 1 at low flame.
  10. Now, you can garnish it with cream and chopped coriander. This can be served with chapatees or rice.

N.B. This is one of my innovative delicacies which you can prepare even when there is no fresh vegie in your basket.
