Poem : Our Mother

आज Mother's Day है, अर्थात मातृदिवस.... हालांकि माँ का कोई एक दिन नहीं होता है, हर दिन माँ का होता है। पर फिर भी हम एक दिन को पूरी तरह से उन पर समर्पित कर दें, इसलिए इस एक दिन को हम उसी भाव को समर्पित करते हैं।

Our Mother

The one who shields us from enemies,

Is sweet like honey, and gentle as breeze.

Though a word is insufficient to define her,

But for a name, we call her our Mother.

Who sacrificed several passions and dreams,

At times she loves, at times she screams.

What the world thinks, she doesn't bother,

The reason why, she is our Mother.

She nurtures a bud, and makes it bloom,

She leaves her desires, so that we can boom.

She does everything, without a word to utter,

Yes, you're right, she's the one &

only Mother.

She wakes all night, for our

 sound sleep,

She injures herself, so that we

 don't weep.

Without her, the world loses its colour,

The identity of our caring

 Mother.
